Small batch, low intervention wines which speak of the Barossa. This is what Schwarz Wine Co represents and what Barossa does so well. Part of the Artisans of Barossa group just outside Tanunda, where you can taste the products and meet the makers while overlooking the region.
The Dust Kicker range of Schwarz wines draws on Jason Schwarz’s relationships with other growers across Barossa Valley and Eden Valley, some of which have some seriously old vines.
The Schwarz Dust Kicker GSM is a blend of 46% Grenache 26% Shiraz and 22% Mataro, and displays all the characters you would expect from a Barossa GSM. The nose has a combination of ripe red and dark fruits, loads of sweet Indian spices (fennel seed, cinnamon, cardamom), and a savoury meatiness. On the palate, sweet fruit, spicy black pepper, and finishing with the typical earthy savouriness of Mataro. Good length of flavour. Subtle oak provides fine soft tannins to this medium bodied GSM.
Good value, and sensational drinking any night of the week with a broad range of foods.
