The luxury accommodation has 15 suites, a restaurant with a garden terrace, dining, bar, impressive wine cellar and three private function rooms.  Originally named Bishop’s Grove, St George’s House was built in 1892 by the Anglican Church. It is a grand example of terrace style buildings developed along Perth’s St George’s Terrace at the latter part of the 19th century.  The building went through many iterations over the years, from Bishops residence, boarding house, then offices.

In 1986, St George’s House was marked for destruction due to its dilapidated condition until significant restoration by property developer Lord Alistair McAlpine saved it.  It stood empty for nearly 9 years until it was renovated again in early 2011 to bring it to its stylish present form.

This luxury Perth accommodation was the only hotel in Australasia which made the 2013 Sunday Times UK Hottest Hotels.  Worldwide only 20 of the most sophisticated and stylish hotels were selected by their luxury travel expert.
